Unique Creations With Gluten Free Sandwich Breads
January 19, 2012 on 6:29 am | By admin | In Food and Drink | Comments OffThose people who have been diagnosed with celiac disease may be afraid of losing some of their favorite foods. This is not quite true. Gluten free sandwich bread, for instance, can replace the traditional variety and in most cases do an excellent job.
Peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, so beloved by toddlers, are also an adult food and are capable of being jazzed up in different ways. For example, grape, strawberry, or cherry jams might be used. Likewise, marmalade might be the perfect topping for people who enjoy things that are just a little tart.
Classic bread and butter sandwiches might hit the spot for some people. Buttered toast, after all, is a staple at breakfast. Depending on how healthy a family wants to be, it can opt for butter, margarine, or vegetable oil spreads. The latter two have less fat and are generally considered better options for men and women with acute medical conditions.
For big and bold flavor, families can go for club sandwiches, which can be made to contain any topping under the sun. Bacon, ham, pastrami, and any number of other meats can be slapped on a club sandwich. This is how it is done in diners, and people can recreate the experience at home.
Breads that do not contain gluten can in fact be used for a variety of culinary creations. As long as people come into the process with an open mind, they should be capable of creating some unique sandwiches that can be made again and again down the years.
Gluten free sandwich breads can be found at every local grocery store and sometimes even at convenience stores. Families should have no trouble getting into the car, driving into town, and picking up a loaf or two for the house. Loaves can even be frozen for later use.
